I'm actually getting around to updating. So here's what's happened since my last entry:

Detroit: Went with Ken. We left early Sat. morning and got back late that night. It was a lot of fun, even though we stood in line a lot. Got to catch a fair catch :-) and made an attempt at a field goal but it didn't go so well. Ken and I got a game ball with our picture on it. So then for the game Kelly came over and we all watched the game and while Ken went to get us the championship shirts, Kelly and I celebrated outside by burning a small amount of trash and driving around the block honking the horn and waving a terrible towel.

Classes: They're going alright. Greek is a lot of work but me and Mark figured out a really good way to get stuff done. We're splitting up the work each week, so we each average the same amount of work we would normally have to do for each class. So it's nice not having to worry about actually doing 120 lines each week all by myself. Good thing there are no tests in that class. Portuguese is good, we had the midterm already. My Spanish midterm will be this Fri. and doesn't seem like it will be so bad. Once I finish my Education paper I can start studying for that, the paper is due tomorrow night. I have a paragraph so far, out of 5 pages.

Other: We had the freshmen chug last Fri. I was quite disappointed by the performance of our freshmen. If only I were a freshman...I would have kicked all their asses. It only went 5 rounds, that's gotta be a record for the worst chug ever. On a positive note for that night, Kelly, Popko and I went to Fuel and me and Kelly finished our Beer Bibles! 100 Beers...my liver hates me. So we were pretty wasted and after that I ended up going back to Kelly's with her and we started to watch the first season of Grey's Anatomy, and by start I mean 5 min. and then passed out. The next day we finished the first disc till she had to go to work and I had to go home and get ready for Lark's birthday party. Kelly was supposed to go with me and Ken till she was surprised that she had to go in for her on-call shift. She was there for about 2 hours and then she did get to go to the party too. The party was nice, got to see some people I haven't seen for a while. What else am I up to....? Oh I'm going to Chicago with Eta Sigma Phi, that's the honors frat for people who study Classic languages like Greek and Latin. So we're going to Chicago to see some exhibits and the best part is that the University is paying for it, well we're gonna be reembursed after we get back. We're flying out March 24th and getting back on the 26th.

I think this is a long enough update, there was a lot of stuff that happened and I think I summed it up quite nicely.

Been busy lately w/ classes so haven't had time to update.

Classes are going pretty good. I think I have Senioritis...I just want to graduate.

This weekend was fun. Friday I went with Kelly down to the South Side so she could get her schedule (which she ended up losing later that night)...naughty, naughty Kelly. Then there was ice skating on the Union lawn. I was way better this time around. Until someone cut in front of me and I fell right onto my knees. That bitch! So needless to say we left shortly after that. We then went to the Gallery Crawl downtown. I had a lot of fun. Saw things that I liked and even more things I had to look at and say "What the hell is that?!" We ran into Pippi and one of his friends, Brad. So we all walked around together, getting what was left of cheese trays and free beer. There were a few after parties one was a jazz group in Caberet and the other was more like a house party w/ a DJ and a keg. I think I liked the first one. Although, the house party had this exhibit that was 2 wheel chairs that would write notes to each other cuz they were in love...some of the notes were so sad. I kept a few of the ones I really liked because they made me think of Ken. I don't have them w/ me right now but the one I gave to Ken said, "Please love me, doesn't matter where I am." We got back to Oakland and went to Fuel...of course. We needed our JC fix. When we got there we were shocked to see he wasn't there. He already got rid of our Tuesday nights and then our Thursday nights and now he wasn't there on a Friday...wtf?! He took the night off, but he was sitting at the bar w/ some ppl drinking. Is that weird for you to have the night off and to pick to go to the place you would normally be if you didn't take the day off? Ken called me a lot sooner than I expected. He was down at Sports Rock working the soundboard...don't know how he got that job exactly. I was expecting a call sometime after 2 and that he would be in Oakland to pick me up shortly after that. Well it didn't work out that way, he called around 1 so I had to hury back to get all my stuff together.

Didn't really work on anything I should have when I was home. I just wanted to relax, but now I screwed myself over and have a ton of Greek to do. But I am going back home tonight again. So hopefully I can get 80 lines of translation done there tonight. I guess that's about it for now...oh yeah, one more thing....Where's my cow?

So I was at work today and Jack said that he was going to the Super Bowl [insert shocked face here]. Well, he's going w/ his wife and 2 other people to Detroit just for the festivities. So this put the idea of Ken and I going. I called him to find out if he would wanna take off that Saturday and drive out Friday night, stay Saturday and then drive back Sunday morning. He said we could as long as he can get off work and then find someone to take over playing his gig for church Sunday morning. I'm really hoping we can go cuz I doubt I'll get the chance to go to a Super Bowl so close and there's no guarantee that the Steelers will be there. I mentioned it to Kelly and she seemed interested but she said that if she was gonna go she'd wanna go to the game...which is what Ken said. But I figure if we buy tickets, they will be really expensive and we'd prolly be in the nose bleed section and not be able to see anything. I'd rather go there to party and then watch the game on HD. That's about it for tonight.

Well I just got back to Oakland. I'm already missing the weekend. I did any work I had for today and tomorrow, but I kinda half-assed it. The only thing I wanted to do was lay around and watch the games. Ken had the Steelers' game on the big TV and wouldn't let me check the Pitt game during commercials, so I had to put that game on in the bedroom and run back and forth. It was definitly a Pittsburgh weekend. Pitt is still undefeated and now we're in the top ten. And of course, the Steelers won, thank God we beat the Colts...I can't stand Peyton! All those bullshit calls by the refs. How the hell can they get a do-over play and then the Polamalu(sp?) interception. Way to not do your job ref, I hope you get fired. Well I guess that's about it from my weekend. Oh yeah, Steps is still an asshole!

Went over to Kelly's yesterday after class cuz I didn't know if Ken was gonna pick me up after he was done w/ work. He couldn't cuz he was teaching a drum lesson so I called to see what Kelly was up to after work. We were bums and watched Madagascar...I haven't seen it before and I thought it was hilarious...Sugar Honey Iced Tea!!! The plan was to go to Fuel to see JC and get some food. Thanx Kelly and Lindsay for leaving me on the floor to sleep so that when I woke up I forgot where the hell I was. Once we got to Fuel we picked up a 4th, Lizi, for some food. It was weird to be sitting at a table eating while JC was working. Eventually I was the only one left after Lizi left and then Kelly and Lindsay got a bus back to Shadyside. Kelly was even nice enough to leave me w/ her left-over beer...Thanx Kelly! Got back home around 2 and then wanted to stay up for Iron Chef...yes I'm a Food Network junkie...didn't even make it to see what the theme ingredient was. Woke up today late in the afternoon, putzed around until I had to get some shit together cuz Ken picked me up. We had to go over to his mom's for dinner and then went home so I'm here for the weekend. I like being home for the weekend...gives me a chance to mellow from a long week of class and any other shit going on in Oakland...like Steps being an asshole. My plan tonite is to get pretty damn wasted...Ken bought me a handle of Cutty Sark...yummy. So I'm starting to feel it now and it's getting a lil bit hard for me to type. Well that's about it for now. As I've been saying all nite while trying to teach Ken Spanish...Necesito piss.

P.S. I'm down to the last beer in my Beer Bible...Chimay. But I'm gonna wait for Kelly (she has 8 left), it just wouldn't be right if I finished before her.

P.P.S Both the Steeler and Pitt games are on at the same time...looks like I'm gonna have 2 TVs on and gonna run back and forth between the 2.

So because Steps is being unreasonable, I had to send out an email to the line asking for donations. I'm kinda nervous because if we are able to make rent this month...what's gonna happen next month and until the end of the lease? Well on a happier note, I went to Fuel for a bit w/ Luke tonite. Thought I was gonna get to talk to JC since I haven't been there for a while. Alas, he's not there Thursday nites anymore...yes Kelly, you read that right. He's student teaching and will only be able to work Friday and Saturday nites.

Random thoughts:
- Pitt won and there wasn't even any Overtime.
- This is not what I planned to do tonite...originally I was gonna eat fruit loops, shower and watch Adult Swim till I passed out.
- Steps is an ass.
- It's not a party until Dylan comes!

So I'm trying Live Journal this time because I didn't care for the other blog I had...and also because Kelly wouldn't get off my back about it.

Today was a busy day and I didn't really get that much sleep last night b/c Barb the Bitch landlord was comming by today to check out a few things which hopefully will be getting fixed soon. So I didn't get to shower till after 2am and then actually start any of my work. I had to get up for class this morning, tried to get up around 8 but ended up hitting snooze till 9:30. Spanish went alright today, seems like it's gonna be a good class. The teacher really makes it fun, she gets so excited about everything. I have lots of stuff to do tonight, like study for a Portuguese test and finish some lines of Greek translation. I don't wannna do it...maybe if I didn't have my night class tonight I would feel like doing something.

Went to REI on the SouthSide with Kelly today. We went to check out the rock wall they have b/c members climb for free. The only bad thing is we can't belay each other, only an employee can. It was Judson's day...nice guy. Too bad neither of us made it to the top of the one side. We're so out of practice from climbing, my fingers were hating me afterwards.

Well I really should do something productive tonight. Maybe some Greek and then I'll study for Portuguese before class tomorrow.
